Kira Rudik attended the main literature event of the year in Ukraine
Despite the full-scale war and massive missile strikes, Ukrainians gather, support each other and exchange ideas. Book Arsenal 2023 is an excellent proof of this. An MP of Ukraine, leader of the Golos party, ALDE vice-president Kira Rudik emphasized this at the main literary event of the year. "This year's Book Arsenal is primarily about life. It rages here, they talk about it here, and it is written and printed about here. I was thrilled to meet a huge number of friends and acquaintances and to see a lot of book novelties. And I was once again convinced: no matter what, we will gather, exchange ideas and support each other" According to Kira Rudik, although the Book Arsenal and all the works presented in it are about how the war affects Ukrainians, it primarily reflects what the country is currently living like. "We are what we read. And today, our children and adults read Ukrainian books. Even though they are about war, pain, small joys and future victories" Book Arsenal is an annual project founded in 2011. This is an intellectual event of Ukraine, where book, literary, visual, musical, and theatrical scenes develop and interact, important issues of human existence, as well as society and culture, are raised and understood, encouraging participants and visitors to take a proactive position.
