Our allies are gradually moving to the strategy of «giving Ukraine everything to win the war», — Kira Rudik about the US decision

The US decision to confiscate frozen russian assets will be a powerful signal for European partners to act similarly. It will also eliminate the West's fear of withdrawing funds from the aggressor country. Ukrainian MP, «Golos» party leader, ALDE Vice President Kira Rudik insists on this.  «In parallel with the vote for the allocation of the aid of 61 billion dollars, another very important draft law was voted —  on the confiscation of frozen russian assets. This document provides for the US to confiscate $10 billion of russian assets that are already frozen. It also sends a strong, clear signal to our European partners that confiscating russian money is not scary, it can be done, it must be done, and the time has come», — explains Kira Rudik. These actions indicate a change in the perception of this war by the partners and the transition to the concept of «let Ukraine win». «The main sign of this decision is that the Western partners are finally switching from the strategy of just «helping Ukraine fight» to «helping Ukraine win the war». We expect that after the adoption of this draft law and after the US President makes the first confiscation, similar processes will proceed much faster in European countries and any political or legal reservations will no longer make sense.
