The position of «peace through strength» should mean a complete stop to russia and fair punishment for crimes without losses for Ukraine. Any other decisions will be perceived by the kremlin as weakness and will only provoke further chaos in the world. This was emphasized by Ukrainian MP and «Golos» party leader Kira Rudik in her opinion or Newsweek.

«russia is waging this war on many levels. While the hostilities continue only in Ukraine, cyber attacks, information operations, and influence on the political landscape have long gone beyond the borders of our state. A ceasefire in only one of these directions does not in any way reduce the threat to the continent on other levels. Any pause will be used by the kremlin to rearm, correct mistakes, and accumulate resources for new attacks. Their alliances with Iran, North Korea, and China will not go anywhere. Large-scale production of drones, missiles, and military training will not stop», — the politician emphasizes. putin will not stop at Ukraine alone, and his next targets will be European countries. «History teaches only that it has taught nothing. The same mistakes are repeated. But we have a chance to break this spiral, there may be no other. Ukrainians know this very well. As well as the price of freedom, independence, and struggle. Is there another nation in the world that can and will stand up to russia in the same way (more than a million people in the ranks of the Defense Forces)? Who will fight back if we fall? And the next goal of the kremlin can be the Baltic countries, Poland, Moldova, or others», — says the MP. According to Kira Rudik, democracy must have teeth, and the free world must be ready to fight back.  «That is why the position of «peace through strength» means stopping the enemy and its development and accumulating efforts for new potential attacks. This peace does not involve the lifting of sanctions, but their strengthening, especially for the technological component. This peace means that Ukraine will not lose its territories. And this peace should create a systematic opposition to those tyrannies who are now only preparing to attack their neighbors. Helping Ukraine to stop russia now means protecting the whole of Europe, restoring wotld order, and forcing the rules of the game to be followed. And for the US — to renew the status of the world's policeman and be great again», — summarizes the «Golos» leader.
