This is a sign of the unity of the democratic world, — Kira Rudik about the ALDE Council resolution in support of Ukraine
The resolution on unquestioning support for Ukraine was adopted at the ALDE Council in Vilnius. It was initiated by the Ukrainian parties «Golos» and «Servant of the People», as well as the Green Liberal Party (Switzerland). The adoption of the resolution is yet another proof that the Western world remains consistent in supporting Ukraine in its fight against russian aggression. This was emphasized by Ukrainian MP, «Golos» party leader, ALDE Vice President Kira Rudik. «Thank you to every ALDE delegate and I hope the unity we see here in Vilnius will continue. It is the key to the victory of the democratic world over totalitarian regimes. We see how dictators unite and strengthen cooperation, so in response, we must strengthen our alliances», — the leader of «Golos» remarked. The document states that the Peace Formula of Ukraine is the only way for a fair end to the war and victory over the aggressor. European liberals also call to:
* Support the implementation of the Peace Formula and its points as part of European security, * Increase and accelerate the military assistance of our state and our Defense Forces, * Increase sanctions pressure on the russian federation and eliminate ways of circumventing economic restrictions (measures against the shadow fleet, strengthening export controls, etc.), * The search for effective mechanisms for the use of frozen russian assets for the needs of Ukraine, * Strengthen cooperation for the return of Ukrainian children kidnapped by the occupiers.
The document was supported unanimously by ALDE Council delegates.
