Female leaders show support for Ukraine, — Kira Rudik about the Global Forum in Reykjavík
Women politicians support Ukraine and Ukrainians in their resistance to russian aggression. And war fatigue is a myth because the world understands what Ukrainians’ fight means. This is how Ukrainian MP, leader of the «Golos» party, and ALDE Vice President Kira Rudik summed up the Global Forum of Women Leaders in Reykjavík. On the sidelines of the event, she had a meeting with former President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė and Prime Minister of Iceland Katrín Jakobsdóttir. «Ukraine's membership in NATO and the provision of all the necessary support on the way to the EU is something that a great friend of Ukraine, former President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė, persistently advocated and continues to advocate. We need such a strong voice right now. And for that, we are infinitely grateful», — the leader of «Golos» emphasized. Kira Rudik also thanked Prime Minister of Iceland Katrín Jakobsdóttir’s for supporting Ukraine and Ukrainians. «Iceland is a great friend of Ukraine, both at the government level and among citizens. In Iceland, 82% of people support helping our state. 5 thousand Ukrainians, who were forced to flee from the war, live in this country. And this is quite a high number. For this support, I thanked Prime Minister of Iceland Katrin Jakobsdóttir, who is not only an example of a female leader but also an active advocate of Ukraine, — the MP stressed.
82% of the people of Iceland support helping our state. This is quite a high number. Honored to say thank you to the Prime Minister @katrinjak during the @ReykjavikGlobal. #PowerTogether #Reykjavik23#MariaKjartans pic.twitter.com/ROwSxoH7Uo
