Ukraine joining the EU is part of a large geopolitical strategy, and our country’s accession will provide new opportunities for the European Union itself. This was emphasized by Ukrainian MP, leader of the «Golos» party, ALDE Vice President Kira Rudik at the FNF roundtable on progress in the European integration of Ukraine. This is an event that brought together various political forces and various Brussels institutions.  «Ukraine's accession to the EU is an important geopolitical issue and part of a grand European strategy. Our country’s accession to the EU opens up new opportunities and a new page of the development strategy for the European Union itself», — the MP accentuated. While waiting for the decision of the European Council on the start of negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU, Ukrainian politicians and diplomats should intensify their work. «Ukrainian politicians and diplomats continue to emphasize the new opportunities Europe will have thanks to Ukraine joining the EU. However, the EU itself needs changes. This is not only about Hungary, but also about the new decision-making system», — the leader of «Golos» states.
