We expect a strong voice supporting Ukraine from Italy's presidency of the G7, — Kira Rudik

Ukraine expects further support from Italy under its presidency of the Group of Seven and increased sanctions pressure on russia. This was discussed by Ukrainian MP,  leader of the «Golos» party, and Vice President of ALDE Kira Rudik during the meeting with Italian Ambassador to Ukraine Pier Francesco Zazo. «Next year, Italy will chair the G7, and we expect a strong voice supporting Ukraine. Effective sanctions against russia, confiscation of the aggressor's assets, establishment of justice — this is what we strive to achieve by joint efforts for the sake of the great goal — the victory of Ukraine», — the leader of «Golos» emphasized. The topics of EU expansion and the steps Ukraine is taking on the way to joining the European Community were also touched upon. «I took the opportunity to thank Mr. Ambassador for his comprehensive support of our struggle for freedom and independence, as well as successful steps on the way to EU membership», — the MP summed up.
