Narratives on illusionary truces should not replace the need for Ukraine's victory, — Kira Rudik
The narratives about a quick end to the war, which are appearing more and more, are dangerous. After all, they displace the main goal from the spotlight — the support of Ukraine until the victory over russian aggression. Ukrainian MP, «Golos» party leader Kira Rudik thinks so. «Since we began to hear statements about negotiations, peace plans, and initiatives of the new White House team, the world's attention has shifted to exactly that and to the fact that Donald Trump will definitely want to resolve the issue. However, any negotiations that are currently being discussed are plan B, we must concentrate our allies in Europe and the US on plan A, which is to continue supporting Ukraine and increase the supply of weapons to us», — the MP explains. Ukraine's efforts should be focused on ensuring that narratives about negotiations do not replace the need to defeat the aggressor. «There are still many people in the Republican Party who believe that Washington is helping Kyiv too little and slowly. And we have to work with them because we cannot allow the narrative about the ceasefire to cloud the main goal — the victory of Ukraine and the resources for this victory», — emphasizes the leader of «Golos».
