Cybersecurity is just as important as defense on the battlefield, — Kira Rudik

During the first meeting in 2025, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill on information protection that will strengthen the state's cybersecurity. This document is essential for countering russian aggression in cyberspace. This was emphasized by Ukrainian MP and First Deputy Chairwoman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Digital Transformation Kira Rudik.  «The document voted on the day before provides for the creation of agencies that will respond to cyber threats and establishes certain rules and responsibility for improper response. Emphasis was also placed on speed because when it comes to a large mass of information, every second counts», —  the politician explains. According to Kira Rudik, despite the fact that Ukraine is moving very confidently on the path of digitalization, the issue of cybersecurity is still relevant.  «Unfortunately, recent incidents with enemy attacks on our resources only once again confirm this. That is why the Verkhovna Rada adopted the draft law on data protection. We must remember that the russian federation is waging war on all levels, especially in cyberspace. Protecting data and having the tools to repel such attacks are just as important as defense on the battlefield», — the leader of «Golos» emphasized.
