Ukraine is a key element of Europe's defense against russian aggression, — Kira Rudik at the meeting at Warsaw Security Forum

Europe and Ukraine must remain united in opposing russian aggression at all levels — from armed to hybrid and informational. This was emphasized by Ukrainian MP, «Golos» party leader, ALDE Vice President Kira Rudik, speaking at the meeting hosted by Adam Szlapka, Minister of European Union Affairs of Poland, on the sidelines of the Warsaw Security Forum. «Europe should focus more on its own security, and Ukraine is a key aspect of the continent's defense against russian aggression. This means the increase in weapons production, greater independence from transatlantic ties, cybersecurity, and countering disinformation», — the politician emphasized.  Kira Rudik joined the discussion with other members of parliaments on the state of democracy in Europe: between security and the fight against populism.  «We must not forget that russia is very skillful in exploiting what it considers to be the weak point of democracy. It manipulates and replaces freedom of speech and secretly supports populist forces. All this must be effectively resisted, and we should remain united. I would like to thank our partners for supporting Ukraine and understanding that only together we can defeat the aggressor and prevent new wars», — emphasized the MP.  The Warsaw Security Forum is one of the leading European security conferences dedicated to transatlantic cooperation and focused on developing joint responses to security challenges in Central and Eastern Europe.
