We hope for a positive decision regarding the frozen russian assets, — Kira Rudik on expectations from the G7 summit
Despite active debates among partners, Ukraine is waiting for a positive decision regarding the confiscated russian assets. Ukrainian MP, «Golos» party leader, ALDE Vice President Kira Rudik reported this on the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada. «Our main expectation from the G7 summit is a decision to use frozen russian assets to help Ukraine. The most recent offer announced by the partners is a loan of 50 billion US dollars, which will be repaid with interest from the blocked funds of the russian federation», — the leader of «Golos» detailed. Kira Rudik believes this is a great mechanism, but more is needed. «This proposal is currently being actively discussed, debates are ongoing, but there is a reasonable hope for a positive decision for Ukraine. This is a good mechanism, but our goal remains the same — the transfer of all frozen russian assets to Ukraine, and we continue to work on this», — the politician stressed.
